High-Brightness 12V Display for Transportation
Passenger information needs to remain clear and readable whatever the lighting conditions. But achieving higher brightness can create another challenge for transportation system designers, power consumption.
The Litemax SPF2800-NNN-A11 combines a 2,000-nit high-brightness LED backlight with a 12V input and specified power consumption of just 39.2W, providing a high-visibility display option for transportation applications where power, space and readability all need to be considered.
Designed for environments with high levels of ambient light, the SPF2800-NNN-A11 delivers 2,000 cd/m² brightness for sunlight-readable passenger information.
Importantly, that performance is delivered from a DC 12V panel input, with power consumption of only 39.2W.
For transportation OEMs and system integrators, this provides a practical combination of brightness and low power consumption for systems where available power needs to be carefully managed.
Not every passenger information application has room for a conventional 16:9 screen.
At 28 inches with a 16:3 aspect ratio and 1920 × 360 resolution, the SPF2800 provides a long, narrow information area particularly suited to transportation installations where vertical space may be restricted. Its active display area measures 698.4 × 130.95mm.
The format creates opportunities for applications including:
- Onboard passenger information
- Route and next-stop information
- Rail and bus information systems
- Platform passenger information
- Real-time service information and messaging
- Transportation signage and wayfinding
Wide 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles and a 5000:1 contrast ratio help information remain visible when passengers are viewing the display from different positions.
Transportation displays can be exposed to sunlight, changing temperatures and extended operating periods.
The SPF2800 incorporates Hi-Tni technology rated to 110°C, helping to prevent the LCD blackening effect associated with high panel temperatures.
Its LED backlight also has a specified MTBF of 100,000 hours, supporting applications where longevity and extended operating periods are important.
The display is designed to operate across a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.
