FORTEC UK supplies sunlight-readable and high-brightness TFT displays for industrial, transportation, defence, medical and instrumentation applications. Available from compact TFT modules through to large-format displays, our range offers brightness levels up to 4,500 cd/m², with options including wide operating temperatures, PCAP touch, optical bonding, anti-reflective cover glass and long-term availability.

In areas with a high ambient brightness, such as shop windows or outdoors in direct sunlight, content on TFT displays with normal brightness is often difficult to read. The display looks dark and faded. Our high brightness TFT displays feature a bright backlight and special polarizer allowing perfectly readable content under these conditions.

Increasing brightness alone does not necessarily create the best sunlight-readable display. Ambient light reflected by the cover glass, touchscreen and TFT surfaces can significantly reduce perceived contrast. Optical bonding removes air gaps between these layers, reducing internal reflections and helping the display remain clear in bright conditions.
