FORTEC United Kingdom expands into maritime data visualisation through the acquisition of Nottrot B.V.

FORTEC United Kingdom is pleased to announce the acquisition of Nottrot B.V. by its parent company, FORTEC Elektronik AG. Headquartered in the Netherlands, Nottrot is a long-established manufacturer of rugged display systems for maritime, military, and industrial environments.

This strategic move marks the FORTEC Group’s entry into the maritime data visualisation market, significantly enhancing its capabilities in mission-critical display technology and reinforcing its position within the defence sector across Central Europe.

Founded in 2000, Nottrot B.V. has developed a strong reputation for designing and manufacturing durable, high-performance monitors built to withstand extreme operating conditions. Its proven expertise supports navigation, surveillance, and control applications where reliability is paramount — attributes that align seamlessly with FORTEC's existing ruggedised technology portfolio.

The acquisition also supports the Group’s wider strategy of expanding vertical integration, enabling even greater value for customers through enhanced customisation, development and long-term support.

This latest addition to the FORTEC Group creates new opportunities to serve the UK and European markets with DNV-approved maritime display solutions, complementing FORTEC United Kingdom’s existing offering in rugged TFT assemblies, embedded computing, and optically bonded touchscreen integration.
