FORTEC United Kingdom is excited to unveil the upcoming launch of the IPPC-5500-ADL0-WG00-1001, an industrial-grade 55-inch panel PC from Litemax, purpose-built for the demands of modern transport, EV charging infrastructure, and semi-outdoor digital signage. This new release is a powerful evolution of the widely adopted IPPD-5500-9131 display, now enhanced with embedded computing capabilities for intelligent edge processing.

Available to order from July 2025, demo units of this advanced solution will provide transport authorities, system integrators, and digital infrastructure developers with early access to the next generation of sunlight-readable panel PCs.

The IPPC-5500-ADL0 has been engineered for visibility, durability, and performance in demanding outdoor and semi-outdoor conditions. Its 2500 cd/m² high-brightness display ensures crystal-clear visibility in direct sunlight, while the Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution guarantees crisp content delivery for real-time passenger information and interactive applications.

Encased in a robust aluminium housing with an IP56 rating, it’s built to resist rain, dust, and temperature extremes—making it ideal for roadside kiosks, bus and rail platforms, and forecourt displays. A 5mm anti-glare toughened cover glass further enhances durability and readability in public-facing environments.

At the heart of the unit lies the Intel Atom® x7425E 3.4GHz Quad-Core processor, supported by 4GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. This high-efficiency processor, delivering a PassMark score of 5582, enables reliable edge computing—reducing the need for separate backend servers and enhancing responsiveness for real-time monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics.
